Ten New Year’s Resolutions For Bloggers To Boost Their Blogs

The question of which is best, a website or a blog has a different answer today than it might have a few years ago. As the saying goes “the more things change the more they stay the same”. This holds true when discussing the differences between websites and blogs.

I’m sure you’re wondering by now how this is done. Well it is really quite simple all you have to do is contact the owners of popular blogs in your niche. For the niches I am involved in I have a long list of blogs that I can contact for guest posting. To look for blogs in your niche search for top blogs on Google or use Stumble Upon. Stumble Upon is great because you can search in your niche and it’s easy to find popular pages with great content and they are often blogs. Start compiling your list of professional profile so you can easily find new sites to guest post on.

Another advantage is that blogs were as easy to use as a word processor application. This made it simple to use for people who did not know how to program. As the blog programs advanced, programmers started switching. Now there are many ways to adapt a blog and give it a unique feel.

Note that this approach is trial and error. Not every website you check out that links to your competitors will have dofollow comments. However, if the links are showing up for your competitor, there’s a chance you can get a link.

Link your blog to your websites v.v. People often forget that it’s the linking that makes the Internet work. Linking all your sites, even the free ones, together can boost your link popularity. Since blogs are a lot of fun you sometimes forget to link to and from them. Don’t let this happen to you.

The solution here relies solely in the hands of the search engines. It’s up to them to discount all these types of blogs as well as their links. Unfortunately, the many search engines still seem to eat this stuff up as legitimate.

However. What if you took the time to find good blogs, with good content and that is complimentary to your own blog; and you took time to actually read their article and leave a genuinely good comment related to the subject, what are your chances of getting that comment approved?

Creative bloggers that know how to manage their time can successful manage multiple blogs and keep them all running successfully. If a blogger cannot keep up with all their blogs, they may have to make a decision to bring in help or get rid of one blog.
