If you want to teach your kids the value of recycling, it would help a lot if you give them some hands-on experience. Learning first-hand just how important recycling is and what they can do with materials that are considered by some as trash will give your kids a greater appreciation for recycling.

Pick a place at your home where it is most convenient for all the household members to do their recycling. It could be the garage or the patio, or any place in your home that is not out of the way for anyone. Set up that place so that it is easy to clean and to gather the recyclable materials. Assign a separate receptacle for each type of recyclable: paper, metallic objects, cardboard, glass and plastics even printer ink cartridges.

If you’re like me, then your catalytic converter might be on its way out. This is a very common part that needs to be replaced every 5 years or so during the span of an automobile’s life. The most common reasons for replacing your cat are rust and the inability to pass emissions tests during inspection time.

It varies WIDELY depending on driver skill. As well as track conditions, elevation above sea level, ambient temperatures, humidity, and pre-race preparation. But most fall between 12.3 to 12.9 ets with 112 to 119mph trap speeds on street tires. Times can drop well into the 11s with drag radials, a good driver, and good conditions, as well as proper pre-race preparation.

Each one of these products must be separated into different containers in order to be picked up by the catalytic converter recycling companies or before being taken to a recycling plant.

Okay, so you won’t actually be doing the recycling yourself, yet, what you will be doing by setting up a recycling station in your home is getting all your recyclables ready to go to be recycled. This is a great idea to take advantage of even if you are already recycling.

Since the stealing of metals like copper is on the rise, precious metals like platinum, palladium and rhodium. When the hot gases from your exhaust come in contact with these metals, a chemical reaction takes place and detoxifies the pollutants. SO why then do thieves target these components on vehicles? They are worth $150.00 to $200.00 when sold for scrap. Showing up at your local scrap metal dealer won’t get you the cash that easy though…the authorities are a lot smarter than that.

Using plastic is not a crime (although avoiding it can really be great). However, it is important to bear in mind that we should always be responsible when disposing or recycling it.
