Island News is published by Island Press, a division of Hearst Magazines, Inc. The first issue appeared on Nov. 24, 1931. The title was changed to Stroller’s Weekly, later revised to the Island News Professional, and Douglas Island News, later edited by H. B. Selby & E. S. Stevens. The name was not changed until March 3, 1933, when the final edition was published.
